Louisiana Safe Haven Law
- A parent may leave a baby up to 60 days old at a designated Safe Haven site.
- Safe Haven locations include:
- Hospitals
- Fire stations
- Police stations
- Emergency medical service (EMS) providers
- No questions are asked, and the parent will not face criminal prosecution for surrendering the baby at an approved Safe Haven sit
