⭐ Together, We Keep the Promise
When we unite as partners, our impact multiplies. Your collaboration can change a life — and play a vital role in protecting children and supporting families in need.

Pitre Promise began with one child’s story. At just three months old, she was placed in my care by her mother. What began as a temporary arrangement grew into more than 500 days of custody. During that time, I obtained eight protective orders and even a consent judgment granting me sole custody from the father.
Throughout the custody trial, the mother was arrested four times and incarcerated once. I attended multiple hearings and did everything possible to shield the child from harm.
On January 3, 2025, custody was suddenly reversed with no change in circumstances, no best-interest determination, an active protection order still in place, and no signed judgment. We were given just ten minutes to hand her over. The child was placed in the back of a police car, with two cars following as we left court. After being limited to only two hours a month of supervised visitation with her mother since infancy, custody was switched without transition. It was a moment that was cold, traumatic, and dangerous.
To make matters worse, my own attorney abandoned me at a critical point in the process, leaving me to face the courts alone while her safety hung in the balance. I quickly began studying the law in an effort to appeal the decision myself. Through that journey, I realized the urgent need for a nonprofit dedicated to protecting children, supporting families, and advocating for family court reform that prioritizes safety and accountability.
Although the appeal is still moving forward, the child remains at risk. Through it all, my promise to her has never changed: I will not stop fighting for her safety.
That promise is the foundation of Pitre Promise Project, aimed at protecting children in unsafe situations, supporting families and safe caregivers, and fighting for court reforms that put safety, truth, and accountability first.
